Lambs at the Market
Opened in the winter of 2007, Lambs at the Market is a family run restaurant housed in a wonderful grade 2 listed building. The building has been fully renovated mainly by proprietor Ted Dubowski and the help of local tradesmen. The building was designed by local architect Watson Fothergill in 1877 and was used as the tavern joined to the cattle market in the late 19th into 20th century. The building provides the perfect ambience for a laid back dining experience. Soft lighting and easy listening music lends itself to the relaxing atmosphere.
Perkins
Over 24 years have past since the former village railway station was carefully restored and converted into an award-winning restaurant. Over that period, Perkins has gained a reputation for food and service excellence, supported by all the top guides. Its informality and quality has been maintained by a strong family involvement. All food is freshly cooked to order, with dishes ranging from old bistro classics to modern English. Prix fix lunches, set-dinner menus and a traditional Sunday lunch compliment the seasonal la carte offering.
Perkins now boasts their own smokehouse, dishes from which appear regularly on the menu, and really epitomize what Perkins is about - good, solid local ingredients, well executed.
Lindrick Lodge Restaurant
The restaurant has recently been upgraded, and Villeroy and Boch tableware (New-Wave) has been introduced which compliments the high quality of food produced, which is sourced largely from high quality local suppliers.
A new quality International wine list has also been added, offering a variety of wines, including house wines, served by the glass and bottle, and a range of champagnes which are also available by the glass.
